The next room
Three rescues are waiting on this campaign.
Live Menagerie is raising funds for three new rescues — an Oranda goldfish who’s outgrown a starter tank, and a bonded guinea pig pair and budgie pair who need to stay together — and you’ll be able to watch every one of them, live, the same way you can already watch Helen.

A rescued Oranda goldfish
Goldfish are among the most surrendered fish in the hobby — the “goldfish only needs a bowl” myth means most people never realize an adult needs a real 40-gallon tank. We’re testing the setup on a small proof-of-concept tank; this campaign funds his real, permanent, right-sized home.

Bonded pairs, when the house is ready
Guinea pigs are herd animals. Budgies are flock birds. Those rooms exist in the plan. They do not occupy the live wall until we can house them honestly — never alone, never as decoration.
Already home
Helen
Resident 1. A rescued tortoiseshell calico you can already watch — and send a treat — from the house, and from her own court at Helen the Cat Live.
The honest part
What your donation actually funds
This campaign funds specific setups, not general operations: the tank the goldfish actually needs, filtration, first vet checks, and the first stretch of food and care. Full line-item budget goes up as a campaign update once we lock real local pricing.
Live Menagerie is a small LLC, not (yet) a registered charity — so this donation isn’t tax-deductible today. We’re working toward the Menagerie Fund 501(c)(3) so future giving can be, and we’ll post the moment that’s real.
Every Treat Drop you already send Helen is separate from this campaign. That’s an ongoing 80/20 split funding her day-to-day care. This page is one-time capital to build the next room.
The campaign isn’t live on GoFundMe yet
We’re finalizing the budget and confirming a real rescue path for the Oranda first — so every number is real, not a placeholder. There is no donate button today, on purpose.
